Named for the late Congressman and conservationist, the Edwin B Forsythe Wildlife Refuge is located near Absecon, New Jersey. The refuge features over 43,000 acres (17,401 ha) of land that exhibits a variety of New Jersey habitats. Over 80 percent of the refuge is tidal salt meadow and marsh, interspersed with shallow coves and bays, making it an important refuge for water birds and marsh plants.

This non-profit organization is involved in the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of stranded marine mammals. The museum displays marine mammal artifacts and has a 'Please Touch' exhibit. Open seven days a week, but visting hours change per season, so please contact the center.
